The Chinese brand Voyah, which is part of the state corporation Dongfeng Motor, began selling the Dreamer model, which debuted in the fall of 2021 at the Guangzhou motor show. The developers position the car as the fastest minivan in the world.
Voyah Dreamer is available in both fully electric and hybrid versions. In the first case, the car is equipped with two electric motors, developing a total of 435 hp. and 620 Nm of torque. The minivan is capable of accelerating from standstill to “hundreds” in 5.9 seconds, and its top speed is 200 km/h.
In the hybrid version, along with a pair of electric motors with a total power of 394 horsepower, a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine operates, which is used exclusively as a generator to recharge the batteries. Such a minivan can travel up to 7,000 kilometers on a single charge.
As for appearance, the Voyah Dreamer has the characteristic dimensions and proportions of a traditional large monocab like the Toyota Sienna. A distinctive design feature was a huge radiator grille with vertical slats, occupying up to about 80% of the entire front of the car.
In the cabin, three large displays are installed on the front panel of the minivan at once. Separate leather-covered seats have heating, cooling and massage functions.
In China, prices for the new Voyah Dreamer range from 380 thousand to 600 thousand yuan (about $59.7 thousand to $95.2 thousand). The first cars will reach customers in July 2022.
