“Charged” crossover Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT received a 4.0-liter gasoline engine with 640 horsepower.

Porsche has presented a “charged” modification of the Cayenne cross-coupe, which received the Turbo GT prefix in the name. According to the press service of the brand, the car is already available for order and will go to dealers in September this year. For example, in the US, according to Carscoops, car prices start at $ 182,150.

The crossover received an upgraded 4.0-liter gasoline engine. The power of the unit is 640 horsepower. The motor works in conjunction with an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

The maximum speed of the novelty is 300 km per hour. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes just 3.3 seconds for the Cayenne Turbo GT. As stated in Porsche, this makes the novelty the fastest production crossover in the world. For example, the Lamborghini Urus accelerates to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds, the British Lister Stealth (based on the Jaguar F-Pace SVR model) in 3.5 seconds, and the Audi RS Q8 in 3.8 seconds. At the same time, the Porsche crossover loses to them in maximum speed. The Urus is capable of accelerating to 304 km / h, and the British Lister Stealth to 316 km / h.

In addition, the “charged” Porsche Cayenne Coupe set the Nürburgring Nordic loop record among crossovers. The car driven by Porsche test driver Lars Kern covered the 20.8-kilometer track in 7 minutes and 38.925 seconds. The crossover surpassed the achievement of the Audi RS Q8, which completed the Nürburgring lap in the fall of 2019 in 7 minutes and 42.253 seconds.

According to the Germans, they have reconfigured all the components of the Cayenne to achieve maximum results. Thus, the air suspension has become 15% stiffer. At the same time, the ground clearance of the car decreased by 17 mm compared to the conventional Cayenne Turbo. The novelty has received 22-inch rims, “shod” in Pirelli tires. The car also received an upgraded braking system and a carbon fiber aerodynamic body kit.
