Opel Crossland

Opel presented an updated version of the compact SUV Crossland X, which, during the planned restyling, not only acquired a new appearance, but also lost the letter “X” in the name.

The new 2021 Opel Crossland body is made in the Vizor corporate style, previously tested on the second generation Mokka SUV. The model is characterized by the presence of LED headlights (already in the base), visually combined with each other by a black plug with the German brand logo in the center.

This solution is intended to resemble a helmet visor, while the real radiator grille is located at the bottom and has a catchy silver edging. The rear of the car has remained practically unchanged: Crossland received new nameplates, slightly modified rear bumper decor and slightly darker headlight diffusers.

As for the wheels, the new design of 16 or 17 inch wheels is offered for the car. We should also mention the GS Line + equipment, which draws attention to itself with a two-tone paintwork with a black roof, as well as a characteristic sports decor with door trims.

The Germans did not radically change the interior of the Opel Crossland 2021. During the upgrade, the SUV received only modernized multimedia systems with improved graphics and expanded functionality, although the diagonal of the screens remained the same (the top-end complex was put on an 8.0-inch monitor). Plus, the developers have prepared an additional version of the seat upholstery (Alcantara).

The rear sofa of the new model can still be moved forward / backward within 150 millimeters, thus changing the boot volume from 410 to 520 liters. At the same time, the rear row seats can be folded down altogether, increasing the compartment to 1 255 liters.

Restyled Opel Crossland 2021 is based on the old French “cart” PF1. However, the latter has been slightly modernized with new springs and shock absorbers, as well as a reconfigured steering and other countershaft. The company assures that these changes made it possible to make the car more comfortable and driving.

The line of power units also remained the same. In Europe, the Opel Crossland in a new body can still be ordered with either a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline aspirated with 83 hp, or with a turbo version of this engine with 110 or 130 hp. A 1.5-liter turbodiesel is also available for the car, and in two versions at once – for 110 and 120 “horses”.

All engines work with a manual transmission, however, for the 130-horsepower petrol version, you can order a six-speed automatic for a surcharge, which is the default for a 120-horsepower diesel engine. Crossland didn’t get hold of all-wheel drive, but it received an optional IntelliGrip system, which changes the traction control electronics algorithm depending on the selected driving preset: Normal, Mud, Sand, Snow and ESP Off.

The start of sales of Opel Crossland in the European market is scheduled for the first half of 2021, configurations and prices will be announced later. Also, deliveries of this model should be established to Azerbaijan (approximately at the end of March), but there is still no information about the cost or the engines available to us.
