Hyundai’s new minivan is almost five meters long, made similar to the fourth generation Tucson crossover.
Hyundai has unveiled a new Custo minivan designed specifically for the Chinese market. The new items will be produced by a joint venture between Hyundai and BAIC Motor – Beijing Hyundai Motor. According to 7Car, the car will compete with the Honda Odyssey and the Buick GL8 Avenir.
The minivan was built on the Hyundai-Kia KA4 platform. The same chassis is at the heart of the Kia Carnival. The design of Hyundai Custo strongly resembles the fourth generation Tucson crossover. These vehicles share the same intricate grille with integrated LED daytime running lights. At the same time, the minivan has new lights, connected by a light line.
Custo length is almost 5 meters. Initially, the 7-seater modification of the minivan will go on sale. Later, the super-comfortable 6-seater version of the car debuts. The trunk volume of the car is 262 liters.
The minivan received a salon with a seating formula “2 + 2 + 3”, where separate captain’s chairs were installed in the middle row. The novelty was equipped with a 10.4-inch display of the infotainment complex, on the sides of which there were touch-sensitive keys for controlling the main functions.
Hyundai Custo is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 170 horsepower. Also, the car can be purchased with a 2.0-liter supercharged unit with a return of 240 horsepower. Both engines work in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
