Rental Honda in Baku

Honda introduced the American version of the second-generation HR-V compact crossover, which is significantly different from the previously shown European version of the model. At the same time, both cars were based on the eleventh generation Civic platform.

The new Honda HR-V differs from the modification for Europe with a different grille, larger front and rear overhangs, as well as modified LED optics and a different wheel design.

The technical characteristics of the model are not yet known. The previous generation crossover was offered with a non-alternative 1.8-liter gasoline unit developing 143 hp. and 172 Nm of torque. Presumably, this engine will be replaced by a new 2.0-liter unit, which produces 160 forces and 187 Newton meters on the Civic model.

In addition, the line may include a new 1.5-liter “turbo-four”, available on the Civic in two boost stages: 183 and 202 horsepower. The engine is able to work together with a 6-speed manual transmission or with a CVT.

As for the European version of the new generation Honda HR-V, this car has a different technical stuffing. It is equipped with an e:HEV hybrid powertrain, which includes a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, working together with a pair of compact electric motors. In total, the units produce 131 hp. and 253 Nm of torque. The driver will be able to choose one of three main driving modes: “Sport”, “Normal” and “Econ”. In addition, there is an additional driving mode called “B”, which, when activated, enhances the work of the energy recovery system during braking.
