The Chinese company Geely introduced an updated version of the Binrui sedan, called Cool. The car was created on a joint CMA modular platform with Volvo, based on the Coolray crossover.
The appearance of the sedan is made in accordance with the new Energy Storm direction used by the Chinese since 2021. Distinctive features of the car are red elements in the radiator grille and large air intakes, as well as a spoiler on the trunk lid, side skirts and yellow brake calipers.
As for the cabin, a 10.25-inch virtual instrument panel appeared there, to the right of which there is a 12.3-inch touchscreen display of the multimedia complex. A mechanical transmission selector replaced an electronic rocker joystick.
The main change in the technical part was the appearance of a 1.5-liter four-cylinder supercharged engine with a capacity of 181 hp, which replaced the 150-horsepower “turbo engine”. The engine works together with a robotic gearbox with two clutches.
Whether such a car will appear outside of China has not yet been reported.
