The sports sedan and hatchback received a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder turbo engine with 400 hp. and 500 Nm of torque.

Audi has unveiled the next generation RS3 family, which includes a sports hatchback and a sedan. Acceptance of orders for new items in Europe has already started. The first cars will arrive at customers this fall. Prices for the hatchback and sedan RS3 start from 60 and 62 thousand euros.

“With the new generation of the Audi RS3, we are offering premium sports cars that are suitable for public roads as well as driving on race tracks,” explained Sebastian Grams, Managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH.

Both models were equipped with a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder turbo engine producing 400 hp. and 500 Nm of torque. The engine works in conjunction with a seven-speed gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. Acceleration to a hundred takes 3.8 seconds for the car. Audi considers this to be the best in the class.

The maximum speed is 250 km per hour. When ordering a special package, this figure rises to 280 km per hour. A special RS Torque Splitter drift mode has also become available to the driver, which is responsible for controlling the thrust vector between the rear wheels. The same system previously debuted on the sports Volkswagen Golf R. In addition, the driver will be able to independently set the control electronics settings due to the Audi Drive Select system with five preset operating modes.

The RS3 gets adaptive dampers and carbon-ceramic brakes. The car was equipped with a radiator grille with glossy black edging, new bumpers, large air intakes, diffuser and diode optics with an unusual pattern. Inside the car, sports seats, a new digital instrument panel and a 10.1-inch touchscreen display of the MIB3 multimedia system were installed.
